WHATSAPP BETA TEST: SUPPORTS SINGLE CHAT SECURITY PASSCODE

WHATSAPP SET TO RELEASE A NEW UPDATE THAT ALLOWS ITS USER LOCK SINGLE CHAT CONVERSATION:

According to the Parent company Meta, it is said to role out a new update that allows its user to secure individual Chat communications using a secure pin code or bio-metrics depending on what kind of device the users are on.

It is no news that WhatsApp in the bid to secure users conversations have introduced too many encryption stages in their mobile communicating app. Updates from end-to-end encryption, starred messages, link a device without worrying if your mobile is dead, to security notification which allows users to know changes in security, and not to ignore the Two-step verification that secures users WhatsApp number from being compromised has been introduced in their series of updates.

However, the shocking update said to be released, introduces a new feature that would enable its users have more personalized control on individual chat messages. This new feature is said to enable users to set a security passcode to specific conversations, which they do not want someone else to have access to when scrolling through their phone. It comes with a flexibility for either passcode or biometrics depending on what supportive device its user are on.

Although, the current beta version is only released on android via google play store, it is said that once released users are no more burden with security consciousness of being worried when someone else has to hold their phone as specific conversation can now be locked privy to only the mobile owner who as well has the passcode to unlock the chat. It also stated that media files sent to a locked conversation wouldn’t be saved to the media gallery automatically. The lock chat just like archive conversations, would have its own separate section, also further security measures that prompt users if they wish to erase the locked conversation, if the passcode are wrongly inputted.

The feature is said to still be in the developing stage and its official released date is not yet known. However, the new update is said to be currently found in WhatsApp for Android beta v2.23.8.2 although not yet made public to beta tester.
